Needless to say, lots of baking, good food, and family.
I have just finished crocheting Ianto's helmet to his costume last night.
I had to shorten his tunic several times before he was comfortable with wearing it and I knew it was short enough for him not to trip in. Both the hat and his cape have my favourite accessory, magnetic snaps.Any pressure with either the hat or cape being caught (tugged, snagged, pulled, tripped... etc,) and they will detach and fall off him. But that doesn't give me a false sense of security. He is still watched while wearing all any of it.
It was the best DIY costume thrown together in two days. Since I already had the materials. Yes. Yes, I did just happen to have a bolt of red suede laying around.
He actually likes the outfit.
I have been working on some Christmas stuff between being busy with everything else.
Here is a preview
Hmmm. Oh yeah. Everyone has been upset with retailers and Christmas buffs about getting into the spirit early. I am not exactly one to jump on the festive bandwagon, I am excited to make these and get the hang of some of these patterns and stitches.
I guess you will have to wait until November to see more of what I am making.
